On the occasion of its 10th Anniversary of ENETOSH, the European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health, is holding a workshop jointly with ILO, ISSA (International Social Security Association), the European Agency for Occupational Safety and Health and the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

The workshop brings together various European and global actors in the field of risk prevention and promotion of healthy and safe workplaces through education to discuss about concrete ways and prerequisites that are necessary to mainstream occupational health into education and to share knowledge and good practices in prevention measures.

ETUCE contributes with a presentation from the European teacher union point of view on how to bring education and occupational health and safety together. Emphasis is given to a whole school approach, including school leaders, teachers, parents and pupils in the process of creating a healthy and safe learning and teaching environment based on social partner involvement and initiatives. Moreover, the workshop provides a platform to present good practices from various teacher unions and ETUCE’s on-going project Social Partners Promoting Decent Workplaces in the Education Sector for a Healthier Working Life.

ETUCE has been engaged in ENETOSH for more than five years and is a member of the network’s Steering Committee.
