The National Manifesto and Petition to the Assembly of the Republic aim to mobilise thousands of citizens for respect, authority, safety and recognition of Education professionals.

The National Federation of Education (FNE) launches the National Campaign "Defending those who educate. Defending Public Schools.", an initiative that aims to put respect for school staff, the fight against indiscipline and violence, strengthening the authority of Education professionals and creating effective conditions to teach and learn safely at the heart of public debate.

The campaign is based on a clear conviction: defending the authority of educators, teachers and other Education professionals is not just a corporate demand. It is defending students' right to learn and the very quality of Public Schools.FNE believes that indiscipline, disrespect, violence and conflict cannot be normalised because they disrupt the operation of schools, compromise learning and weaken those who work there every day. That is why the campaign is built around four key words — Respect, Authority, Safety and Appreciation — and carries a message that FNE wants to bring to schools and society: “Without respect there is no learning. Without learning there is no Public School.” A Manifesto to build a national commitment One of the main pillars of the campaign will be the National Manifesto for Respect, Authority and Safety in Public Schools, open for signature by education professionals, families, researchers, experts, institutions and citizens.
