The second year of the ELNE project was finalised by proposing an EU definition on collaborative school and education leadership. The 2nd year’s policy recommendation including this definition can be found in the ELNE website in several languages, here: ELNE Policy Recommendations
The activities of the 3rd year of the project will focus on how this definition can work in different education sectors and how education stakeholders (teachers, parents, students, school heads, etc) are involved and shape collaborative school and education leadership
2. ELNE Calls for Proposals 25/26 – Inspiring Practices and Research Summaries Now Open
The European Leadership Network Europe (ELNE) invites submissions for its 2025–2026 Calls for Inspiring Practices and Research Summaries under the theme: “Contextualising Collaborative Leadership Across Europe: Stakeholder Perspectives”. ETUCE member organizations, teachers, and any education stakeholders can submit practices and research that show how different actors take part in leadership and decision-making processes, how their agency is recognised and supported, and how collaboration contributes to improving the quality, wellbeing, and resilience of educational communities. Deadline for submissions: 15 December 2025
For the 3rd year, the network organises webinars in March which are open to any education stakeholders, including ETUCE member organisations and their interested members, including teachers and school leaders. We kindly ask you to raise awareness about these events.

Opening Ceremony: Collaborative Leadership as a European Policy Priority

The event will focus on the network’s input to policy making, it will host high level speakers from the European Commission, and European education sector social partners and stakeholders.
Collaborative Leadership in Action: Inspiring Showcases

The event will focus on the practical examples, namely it will present interesting research and practices of collaborative leadership.
Sectoral Perspective: What ET2025 Reveals About Collaborative Leadership

ANNUAL CONFERENCE
This year’s ELNE Annual conference will take place in Brussels on 7 May 2026 (9.30 – 17.00), with cocktail and networking in the evening on 6 May 2026.
