Development perspectives for young scientists in Belarus
Published:On 5 December 2017, a joint meeting of the Youth Council of the Belarussian Trade Union of Education and Science, BTUWES, and the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was held in the Belarus National Academy of Sciences, in Minsk. The First Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus, Vadim Bogush, BTUWES President, Aliaksandr Boika, the Head of the Supreme Attestation Committee of Belarus, Palchik Gennady, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology, Shcherbakov Sergey, as well as the President of the united sectorial trade union organisation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Kitikov Vadim, took part in the round table.
The meeting featured development perspective of the Council of Young Scientists, the lack of motivation in research/scientific activities among youth, the status of young scientists and recognition of their work.
BTUWES President, Aliaksandr Boika stressed that issues of social protection (guarantees), living conditions, health and safety of youth, including young scientists, have been addressed in the separate section of the Agreement between the Ministry of Education of Belarus and BTUWES.
