Albania: First official ceremony in recognition of teachers on World Teacher’s Day

On the occasion of this year’s World Teachers’ Day, the Independent Trade Union of Education of Albania (SPASH) organised for the first time a joint ceremony together with the Presidency of the Republic of Albania.
Mr. Ilir Meta, the President of the Republic of Albania, honoured six teachers and SPASH trade unionists for their extraordinary contribution to education and society as a whole. Among the honoured colleagues features Mr. Bajram Kruja, who had been a former leader of SPASH for more than 20 years and who was honoured with the title “Great Master” for his contribution as a teacher and to the trade union movement.
Recognising the outstanding efforts and daily work of all teachers across the world especially during the pandemic and beyond; ETUCE joins SPASH in congratulating the six teachers and dedicated trade union members.
